The practice would like to be able to set some requests in the Unassigned box as 'in progress', to reflect that even while a staff member might not be viewing this request currently, it is currently being actioned.
Ideally they would like this status to show as an icon in the request list, so that other staff members scrolling through the Unassigned box can see at a glance, which requests are being worked on, and which are not.
The practice do understand that they can use the comments section to record internal actions and assigning requests, but they really feel this 'at a glance' icon would aid their workflow.
They also mentioned that the 'alert when other users are viewing this message' isn't always reliable, if the staff member needs to go out of the request to look at a completed / a different request before returning to the original request before actioning it.
